So who would be your final 3 place getters.
Be there to watch some of the country’s best in action.
Well what great day it was in Wanganui Today 26th December 2007.
I had been waiting for months to see the road racing sidecars race as they were not included in the VIC Club winter series this past winter.
While standing on the 1st corner during the 1st sidecar race I had a close encounter of the 3 wheel kind as a unit locked up the brakes and hit the kerb were i was standing almost hitting myself and the flag mershalls on the way past, The unit lost control went straight ahead and collided with another sidecar rolling it upside down. What an action packed start to the sidecar racing.

THURSDAY 10TH JANUARY 2008
OFFICIAL PRACTICE: 6.30 – 8.00pm
At the track from 6.30pm
FRIDAY 11TH JANUARY 2008
VEHICLE CHECKING: 12.30pm – 4.30pm
Vehicle checking times will be sent with your acceptance form, along with a mobile phone number to call if you are running late on the day. Vehicle checking will be held on Banks St, outside Cable Price (NZ) Ltd. All units will be given 15 minutes to make it to the track after vehicle checking. Failure to do so will require another vehicle check at the vehicle checkers convenience.
All competition units will receive three (3) gate passes per race unit per night.
DRIVERS BRIEFING: 5:30pm
All riders and swingers only will assemble in the clubrooms at 5:30pm for a briefing.
A roll call will be held at this time.
GRAND PARADE: 6:30pm
Grand Parade will start at 6:30pm.
All riders and swingers must take part.
RACING STARTS: 7:00pm
There will be qualifying heats to determine 16 finalists & 2 reserves.
SATURDAY 12TH JANUARY 2008
VEHICLE CHECKING: 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Will be held at the track.
DRIVERS BRIEFING: 5:30pm
All riders and swingers only will assemble in the clubrooms at 5:30pm for a briefing.
A roll call will be held at this time.
Qualifiers will draw marble for bibs after the drivers briefing.
GRAND PARADE: 6:30pm
All finalists will line up for grand parade at 6:30pm.
All riders and swingers MUST take part.
RACING STARTS: 7:00pm
The New Zealand Sidecars Championship will be run over 20 heats with points allocated as per the SNZ rulebook.
